What game 6 showed us is that if Giannis keeps hitting his free-throws, he's unguardable. Forget about developing a midrange game and a 3 point shot. Just. hitting. free-throws. makes him UNGUARDABLE. That's how insane he is. God help the league if he ever learns to shoot.

@JBoogie510 you're no expert in the NBA or basketball in general, cause if you where, you would know that the league is known for superteams. You acted like it became a trend since 2008, but it's the only league in the world that it is almost certain who will dominate the season before it starts. If the Bucks wins it, then props for them, but it's a matter of time before the Nets gets even and wins. Or maybe Lebum finds a way to bring in Lillard to the Lakers. Either way, the super teams are here to stay, whenever you like it or not.

If you devalue The Bucks championship because they didn’t have to go through an overnight championship contender team that had three all star franchise players that teamed up to play together at full health ….then you don’t know basketball. “They got lucky Kyrie and Harden got hurt” Kyrie and Harden shouldn’t even be on the same team together. The Nets are lucky that Giannis didn’t go to the Warriors or Lakers.

One thing that the playoffs has shown us, is that sometimes, the best team is usually the healthiest team. The Bucks or the Suns wouldn't be where they are if Harden, Kyrie, AD, Murray, Trae or Kawhi were at 100%. Giannis was lucky his knee was only hyperextended. At the end of the day, it is still a valid point that this year, that championship will have somewhat of an asterisk on it because of that reason

@hans duroseau why would I want three 30+ year old soft franchise players who’s too soft for competition on my team? I rather watch my team develop into a championship contender. It wouldn’t be any fun following a overnight championship contender with mercenary players that I didn’t watch grow and develop. Those teams leave no legacy. See the Miami Hrat…NO LEGACY LEFT BEHIND. Cause they were a fake champion,

    • hans duroseau

      hans duroseau

@JBoogie510 right now, you're in your feelings because the 3 of them are not playing on your team. Otherwise, you wouldn't be talking a bunch of junk about them, acting like they took your lunch money, or steal your girl. I might be wrong about those two things, but it still doesn't change the fact that you sound like a bitter woman when it's about basketball.

    • JBoogie510

      JBoogie510

@hans duroseau put what together….three all star franchise players in their prime together? Anybody can put 3 franchise players in their prime together. If every team in the NBA had three all star franchise players in their prime then I would respect it. The Nets are simply a team of soft franchise players that had to team up because they’re not tough enough to go through the grind of The Process. They don’t want to compete on a level playing field.

    • hans duroseau

      hans duroseau

@JBoogie510 that's your opinion, but that doesn't mean that it is facts. The Nets still has to go through the same process like every other team to get to where they need to be, to become a championship contender. Next year, they will put it all together and if they win it all, you have to respect it

As a Jordan GOAT Truther, 4 years ago when Giannis started to pop I was saying I was more worried about Giannis taking Jordan's crown more than I ever was about LeBron. I called Giannis the "Maybe Baby Giant Russell Westbrook but with a Brain and Defense. He plays hard on both ends more than any player since Jordan & Hakeem. If Giannis wins this, keeps adding skills like he has & gets to 5 or 6 with a WINNING Finals record at the end of his career, he'll be JUSTIFIABLY Live in the GOAT Argument one day NOT LeBron. If he gets more than 6, even I would have to call him the GOAT over Jordan. NEVER thought I'd say that in my lifetime.

It’s would be great for his legacy. However you have to clarify it. It was after a shortened season which caused heavy injuries around the league which especially hurt teams that were title contenders. It doesn’t make his ring any less legit but other than going through an injured Nets team, they really didn’t have too much push back. Once again their ring is as legit as any others but let’s not try to make it something it’s not as though he took out healthy super teams to win his ring.

@Marco Brolo There are no right way just simple principles to live by: no yes-men, due diligence, know your limitations as a market, franchise and team; privilege staff and players that fit your vision, stay competitive by respect for your fan base, reward smart and hard work;patience and discipline; take calculated risks when the timing is right; and if all fail be honest with yourself and shift gear. It ain't easy but there are more serious problems in the real world than running an NBA team.

@Corpy Hogan Thank you! Been saying this for years, like in any industry\market, 80% of the execs are just followers and 20% are the real leaders. Too many average or mediocre decision-makers always quick to lay the blame at the feet of the roster they built themselves.

@Marco Brolo Core players becoming champions through development, competition and experience. The wrong way is multiple franchise players teaming up with each other in the off season to form a super team Because they don’t want to go through the grind of competition.

@Joel Taylor u must be on crack right now because literally nobody even thinks he is even top 5. Many have him in 9 or 10. By the end of his career Giannis will be the best PF of all time. Rings don’t show how great a plaid because rings are a team accomplishment. Mvps, DPOY, all star, all nba and more show how great a player is.

@ANEESH ANAND yes giannis' accolades while not being in his prime yet are mind blowing but I don't see Giannis being better than Tim Duncan Tim is a top 4 player of all time that has really good cases for being the goat, Duncan was 1 shot away from being 6-0 in the finals and also was the best player on his team every year he played until 2014-2015.

@SELFMADE 7 I wouldn't say it's cut and dry that Shaq is better than Giannis, but Shaq's ultimate dominance was a level above Giannis's. He could get his way however he wanted, and he was actually an off ball low post scorer. He would constantly position and reposition without the ball, get the ball and yam it as he pleased. Giannis still needs to find his angle and then explode, but often he doesn't have that angle. For sure Giannis is more complete and mobile so I wouldn't just give it to Shaq hands down, but Giannis just isn't at Shaq's level of physical dominance.
